Republican Women's Caucus Celebrates Title IX Month and the Achievements of Female Athletes Across America

June 11, 2026

Washington, D.C. — The Republican Women's Caucus (RWC) recognizes June as Title IX Month, celebrating the landmark law that expanded opportunities for generations of girls and women in athletics, education, and leadership.

For more than five decades, Title IX has helped ensure that female athletes have the opportunity to compete, develop their talents, and pursue excellence both on and off the field. The women of the Republican Women's Caucus remain committed to preserving these opportunities and protecting the future of girls' and women's sports.

Throughout the month of June, the RWC will partner with Members of Congress to highlight outstanding female athletes from communities across the country. These stories will showcase the dedication, perseverance, and achievements of young women whose lives have been shaped by the opportunities Title IX helped create.

"Title IX transformed the landscape for women and girls in America by opening doors that had too often been closed," said Rep. Kat Cammack, Chairwoman of the Republican Women's Caucus. "The women of the Republican Women's Caucus understand firsthand the importance of protecting opportunities for female athletes and preserving the integrity of girls' and women's sports. Women and girls deserve to have their accomplishments recognized and celebrated. This month, we are shining a spotlight on outstanding female athletes from our districts whose hard work, discipline, and determination inspire the next generation and represent the very best of America.”

As Title IX Month is observed across the country, the Republican Women's Caucus is calling on the United States Senate to take up and pass The Protection of Women in Olympic and Amateur Sports Act. With the United States set to host the 2028 Summer Olympics, the Caucus believes it is critical to uphold the integrity of women's sports and preserve the opportunities Title IX was intended to protect.

"As we celebrate Title IX Month, we are also urging the Senate to act on The Protection of Women in Olympic and Amateur Sports Act,” said Cammack. “Women and girls deserve fair competition, equal opportunity, and the recognition they have earned through hard work and dedication. Protecting women's sports is not only consistent with the spirit of Title IX—it is essential to ensuring that future generations of female athletes can compete, succeed, and thrive."
