Kat Cammack (R-FL-03) and members of the Republican Women's Caucus sent a letter to the leadership of USA Fencing expressing their unwavering support for female athlete Stephanie Turner who made the decision to forfeit her match rather than compete against a biological male opponent in a women's fencing tournament.
Following Ms. Turner's principled decision to forfeit the match, she was issued a black card, the most severe penalty available under USA Fencing rules, resulting in her immediate disqualification from the tournament.
